Do you have a distortion box, a chorus effect, or maybe a wah wah pedal? Maybe you have all three or even more effect pedals. As a general rule this is the best order for your signal chain:
Guitar>Tuner>Compression>Wah>Distortion>Modulation Effects (chorus, flanger, phaser)>Time-based effects (delays, reverb)>Amp
