Hello, welcome to my web site. My name is Mike Kinney. I have been playing guitar for 29 years. I am a family man, I have 3 kids, 2 boys ages 7 and 12, and a 3 year old girl. Over the years I have helped others reach their goals in music. I really enjoy helping someone discover what can be accomplished on the guitar if they just put some time into practicing! I have many students now and the material being covered ranges from reading music, to learning jazz progressions and playing classical pieces. I will teach you what YOU want to learn. Blues to Metal...Eric Clapton to Metallica...I teach students their favorite songs no matter the style.

I have playing in bands since I was 12 years old. I have done a variety of music ranging from acoustic to heavy metal in the late 80's early 90's. I currently play classic rock and blues. Personally I enjoy all styles of music and I am constantly teaching myself further in all areas of music; Jazz, Classical, Rock, Blues, Folk, and Heavy Metal.
